9/12/19

Leora was sick to death of the other ladies at the Bi-Weekly Euchre Bruncheon trying to outdo one another with the little bunches of flowers on their hats, so she went through her old formals until she found just the right satin blossom she could cut off and apply to her chapeau!
Ray and Wanda were so happy on the big day that they refused to let Aunt Frances spoil it when she threw a fit at being seated in the back of the reception hall next to a busboy station.
Mona couldn't help but acknowledge that the furnishings from her old palm reading establishment didn't quite fit with the white walls of her new condo, so she sat on the couch wondering which shade of charcoal would work best when she bought some paint.

Wanda is surely not fooling anyone. And the baby’s date of birth will come back to haunt them. Too bad for Ray the sucker whom she roped in for the father role. He’s convincing now but doesn’t know the baby’s skin color will be a major shocker.

Ha! That's about the route I was going to take with Wanda's voluminous gown, but I'd done that before here a few times over the years, so I went in another direction. :-)

I can't think of anything better than Leora's satin blossom to distract a Euchre opponent from trumping their partners ace! And if that doesn't work the op art sunglasses will!

Mona sure does love her patterns. Although she has yet to truly grasp the concept of mix and match, I agree with you 100%...I think it's the plain white drapes and white walls that actually throw the room off. A somewhat darker color (pattern optional on the drapes) might have actually brought everything together. And, while we're here offering advice, she should also find a new hairdresser, buy a different pair of eyeglasses, shorten the chain on her necklace and get rid of the hickey-hider.

BrianB, she might even have an extra ace hidden behind that blossom!

But, Knuckles, she had the lenses of her glasses tinted to coordinate with those crocheted pillow covers...! LOL
