The writing should have been on the wall that first night Floyd came back from the Kalihari with his fiancee Koko and realized she had a eye on his father Bruce! Within two months, Koko went from his girlfriend to his step-mother...
After Monica fretted for weeks that little Eddie's ears were too big, her husband set out to disprove her concern by comparing them to Topo Gigio's, which allayed her fears for a while... until she started to focus on Eddie's nose.
Bert and Phyllis posed for a quick photo on the occasion of their 45th Valentine's Day together as a couple, but swiftly headed out the door in order to beat the rush at Morrison's Cafeteria and avoid missing out on the ruby red gelatin salad, which had a tendency to be snatched up quickly.
Pat discovered she could squeeze in a two-mile ride while the Hamburger Helper was simmering on the stove and hoped to up her output to three miles the next night when she was preparing Shake 'n Bake chicken.
Thus, Bryan found out the hard way that pranksters had sneaked in during the night and applied pine tar to the slide at Knotty Bog Campground and Carp Hatchery.
So Jason discovered, in the form of a black eye, that Stretch Armstrong could only be stretched so far before he began to resent it.

1/6/14

Millie dutifully posed for a quick snapshot while enjoying coffee at Irene's, though she knew in her heart that every second spent on this foolishness was cutting into primo gossip time!
Though many citizens were initially opposed to him due to his previous inexperience, in time they couldn't argue with the results that tough-as-nails Sheriff Butch Toddler brought to the town of Gerber, Alabama.
Randy didn't complain too much about living in a house full of women, though his one strict rule was that none of the older ladies was permitted to sit in between the television set and him during a game due to sight-line issues.
Once again, Barry had one of his private swims interrupted by a sudden gaggle of tourists at Sunnyside Park.  From now on, he'd have to find a less populated area in which to dip.
Mavis was proud of her family and the way she dressed everyone, though she still had just a twinge of hesitation regarding the hat that Melanie had obtained by sending in 12 box tops from Cheerio's cereal...
Requirement number one at Drowsy Acres Retirement Home, which Clifford handily met, was that all gentlemen had to wear the waistband of their trousers at a level just below the sternum.

4/30/13

All right, so Papa Richard's den no longer had drapes hanging in it... Debbie and Marlene now had stunning ensembles to wear to the 4-H dinner dance and silent auction.
Ralph thought pinochle night at Uncle Art's was always a great time,  but after his third bourbon and Fresca, Art tended to have more hands than the game itself!
And so the second annual meeting of the "Josie the Show Poodle Memorial Society" convened, though Midge couldn't mask her concern that with interest in the group spiralling out of control, more seating would be required next year.
A mistake in the Sears-Roebuck catalog department found Mitzi with an afghan hound instead of an afghan for her new sofa, but she was surprisingly okay with it!
Ethelyn was back for round two at the combination veterinarian/family practitioner, having discovered that her own ears, and not Reginald's, were pinned back during the last visit, grateful though she was...
LouBelle and Willa, having learned the hard way of the effects from Daddy Bill's second-hand cigar-smoke, worried about the health of canine companion Fenster, situated directly beneath the stogie...
Despite coming in only 8th place in the 1951 Middlesboro Pet & Owner Look-Alike Contest, Vanelda and Chim-Chim managed to put all negativity aside and enjoy the rest of their lives together.
