While sorting all the shawls she'd crocheted for Christmas gifts that year, Charmain swore that there'd been a sky blue one, too, but couldn't locate it until vacuumed next to where the tree had been on January 2nd.

Hedy had been encouraged to take the healing waters down at Lake Sparrowhead, but her innate shyness prevented her from engaging with any of the other visitors, including Helmut, who had demonstrated interest...!

Grandma Eleanor had long since put away her tap shoes, but was delighted when little Greg expressed interest in learning a few of her old combinations.

Even at this early age, future Derby champions, the Coughlins, were fascinated by life in the saddle and after scooting their way to victory (first one to the garage wins!), they'd follow up with a relaxing dip in the pool!

Gladys had an hour and a half before the annual peach cobbler competition down at the Knights of Paducah banquet hall, so she decided to take some sun before undoing her curlers.

Terry was satisfied with this first effort at cake-baking and had insisted on having all the candles for mom Susan's birthday. Susan did manage to retain 3/4s of her eyebrows after attempting to blow them out, too.

Since he was four years old, Manuel had been asking Santa for a new pony for Christmas and, not one to give up easily, kept at it for decades...
Everything at Mel and Danica's wedding went off without a hitch until it was discovered that the wreath on the bottom-front tier of their wedding cake had bits of poison ivy accidentally woven through it!
Tired to death of walking from his nest to the river every morning, once he had a little coin in his pocket, Donald Duck took to hiring a driver to get him back and forth five days a week. He still waddled there himself on the weekends...

Yes, it was (almost) all smiles the night of the Peppermint Couples Dance at Leavenview VFW Hall, but when Maureen and Valerie awoke the next morning to discover that Len and Gerald had run off together, the laughter turned to tears...
It was a particularly meaningful Mother's Day the time Harold brought the kids to visit Grandma Petty because her gift that year was a fox stole that little Jeff had shot and his siblings had carefully skinned and sewn together!
The Raminos decided it was time for finicky friend Albie to finally get wet, so they picked him up, with each brother grabbing a key part of him, and headed to the shoreline!

Tailgating was fun anyhow, but Dick especially liked it when Terry Dean brought his car because the fog lights helped keep him from slipping off the hood in the wake of one too many brewskies...
Bobby loved the elaborate service station he received for his birthday, but he could barely get near the thing thanks to his father, so he decided to hike the price of gas to $0.45/gallon hoping Dad and his truck would stay the heck away!
Carole was proud of her baby girl the evening of the Silent Night Dinner Dance at St. Therese High School, but thought she might need one last bit of bling to really set off her Poly-Dacron gown. So she allowed her to remove one thing from the tree and add it to her ensemble.

With all the family out the door and dishes finally washed, dried and put away, Evelyn traded in her heels for a pair of slippers and slunk down in the chair for a post-holiday nap.
Since Ranie had already given up her jeans and coat in order to outfit Sean's snowman, she prayed in earnest that there were no remaining accessories that she'd have to provide with the 27-degree wind chill that was whipping through the trees...!
Rayjean was generally in good spirits of a morning, but there was one thing that never failed to get her from zero-to-sixty in seconds flat on the crazy meter and that was finding out that someone used all the ice in the ice trays the night before without filling them back up with water.

Happy Holidays from Krazy Kaptions!

Carolee wasn't about to settle for a bracelet from F.W. Woolworth's or some drug store perfume this year, but she did discover that Santa wanted a little something in return for the upgrade...
At last, Grandpa Earl and Teddy found a way to rid themselves of the endless haranguing from Grandma Bessie as Teddy set up his new missile launcher and then waited for her to take her customary seat...
It wasn't intentional, but as she posed before the tree, Lynda's hair and dress kept brushing against the branches, causing several of the ornaments to come crashing down from above onto the unsuspecting residents of her Christmas village beneath!

All the effort of putting up her Christmas tree had caused a dent in Sandy's coiffure, but thankfully she recalled collecting a hat from Democratic headquarters earlier in the month and she was able to obscure the problem with that for a quick snapshot...
When they first headed to the vet, Farfel didn't feel like he had any reason to be going, but once Viola drove him there, swerving all over the road and covering two lanes, he suddenly felt the need for a doctor and perhaps even a tranquilizer!
The New Rochelle Ladies Auxiliary Bruncheon featured a new contest this year and the competition was fierce for "Craziest Chapeau."
 Bonus Pic!

Gladys Rubenwald was none too pleased to have to pay the winner the $31.50, which was half the pot, when she'd spent so much on real silk flowers for her own topper...

Part of the joy in Chris and Terry's relationship was that they wore the same size clothes and could sometimes swap in order to double their wardrobe. They even liked the same shampoo!
Clifton and Annabelle believed in capturing all the pivotal moments of their lives on camera, be it birthdays, graduations or momentous days such as this when they were all set to attend the Greater Dayton Crab Boil & Silent Auction.
In a rare turn of events, Richie asked Santa to put something special under the tree for him this Christmas and, for once, ol' St. Nick delivered.... Early that morning, there was Clayton!

Mort and Darleen were thrilled to take Tommy to Aunt Donetta's house over the holidays until Darleen had a really nasty run-in with a length of Christmas-themed fly strip which ultimately had to be cut out!
Seaman William Nisdey became something of a hero the day he managed to steer his ship out of certain harm's way and that was when he instantly became nicknamed "Steamboat Willie!"
Farfel was full of tricks that Saturday, hoping to win a treat from Great Uncle Raymond, Millard and Jeanette, but it was all for naught because Millard had already wolfed down nearly all of the snacks including what was left in the box of Milk Bone dog biscuits!
BONUS PICS!
We just weren't entirely ready to say goodbye to Darleen yet!
The End!

Randall Dean wanted one thing for Christmas and that was a pet monkey. When he got Carmine, he was simply over the moon, but he did have to step up his paper route a bit in order to keep the household stocked with extra bananas...
And so Clarissa sorted through her album collection until she found just the right music to play in the background while the telephone repairman came to check her lines... (If you're wondering, it was "You Can Ring My Bell" by Anita Ward.)
With Rico still on the mend from his bout with malaria, his friends thought he could use a little pick me up, so they arranged a swinging party with all sorts of wild, colorful people to help bring the pink back to his cheeks.

When Frank got Carolee to accept a swim date with him on the Jersey Shore, he hadn't dreamed for a moment that she'd bring along her latest pal Gene in the bargain, but as the day wore on he became less and less irritated by it...
Lewis Coleman was thrilled with his strawberry birthday cake and an assortment of large helium balloons until someone opened a window and he went sailing out clinging to this yellow one!

 Merry Christmas from
Krazy Kaptions!

File photo: The last known photo of Celestina Velveen, who happened to visit Santa Claus while the regular one was on a ten-minute coffee break and and unknown replacement filled in without permission...
Stu was so late in requesting a Santa Claus for the annual VFW Holiday Party that all he could come up with was his Uncle Clyde in a rather cheap costume, but after the keg was hooked up, few of the partygoers wound up minding much...
Judith found out that her baby girl Mary Rose responded better to inanimate Santa Clauses than the ones in a chair at the shopping center, so she had her husband Matthew pick one up for the living room.

12/20/18

After Rudolph's red nose went out and the other reindeer were just plain exhausted, Santa had to rely on other unusual means of transport in order to get remaining presents out to the city of Clearview, Oklahoma...
Having vigorously shaken the box for several minutes, Taffy was already convinced that there was no cat inside as requested and, thus, was disappointed before she even undid the ribbon on her gift.
Helene didn't like the way traditional holiday trees left stray pine needles all over the floor, so she enlisted the aid of Arnheim to create the first Christmas bamboo pole, complete with candles...

12/13/18

As a born Confucianist, Tony had never known much about Christmas nor shown the slightest interest in it, but after seeing several presents under the school library's tree with his name on them, he was beginning to come around!
And so it was with feverish excitement that the finals in the ladies swimming relay were ready to begin at the 6th Annual Pompano Beach Open.
Regina found out the hard way that her date for the evening, out-of-town cutlery salesman George Swanson, had a ferocious foot fetish...!
Bonus Pic:  Having realized their mistake the previous weekend, Stan and Cliff made certain to allow their inner thighs to get some sun this time during their morning at Spreadfire Lagoon.

True, Terrence met most of Marla's mothers requirements, such as he had a job, a car and no permanent criminal record, but she remained reluctant to let her daughter go with him when she saw that his shirt was untucked...
An almost disappointing Christmas was at last made special when François wound up receiving from Roger the special doggie cologne he'd been hoping for: Hydrant.
Jerry had long heard about the retaliatory squirrels living in the grove near his house, but finally found out the hard way how vicious they could be when he was dinged in the shoulder by a large, bullet-like acorn!
