By the night of The Evening Mist Dinner-Dance, Garry had learned the hard way that he ought to have spent his afternoons walking on the side of Angelica's hair that provided shade, lest he wind up with a considerable sunburn.

The Diedlemeisters' babysitter, Mrs. Harrington, thought she'd finally found a way to corral the mischievous boys and keep them in line, but Teddy (far right) had left an unwelcome surprise in her bed that she wouldn't find until later that night after watching the first half of The Tonight Show.

Carmine tried everything he could think of to teach his dunderheaded son Ralphie about dating etiquette, including kissing the young lady's hand, but even that turned out to be a total calamity...

Bonus Pic: Sheridan and Randolph spent countless hours practicing their tumbling routine for the upcoming Jaycees Talent Show, but eventually realized that they could have even more fun by staying home and improvising their moves there!

In typical Murphy's Law fashion, Wilbur finally got the back yard done exactly as he wanted, with all his playthings arranged just so, only to find out his owners were about to put the place on the market and move!

One of the highlights of Jerry Wilkinson's latest cocktail party was the late-night contest to see whose legs were the smoothest: Margie "Lady Norelco" Gamm or Anita "Gillette" Hansen.

And so at this early age, without his even realizing it, little Bertrum was acquiring the strength needed to later emerge as "Samson the Tractor Puller, " hero at county fairs and harvest festivals all over the country!

Bonus Pic:  Connie Turner thought she was being more than lenient when she allowed her daughter Alice to host a Roman-themed toga party, but she was appalled to step into the parlor and find some of the guests playing The Photography Game (in which one turns out the lights and see what develops!)

Everyone, including Bryce the groom, was skeptical that Best Man Rico could plan and pull off a successful bachelor party, but this one was so successful and the two had such a great time that the wedding was called off altogether and they went one the two-week honeymoon to Maui and Oahu themselves!

And so it was that four years as a Remke Market bag boy had managed to build up Mario's muscles to the point that he entered the Greater Peoria branch of the Mr. Universe pageant, all those trips to Mrs. Silverstein's car with heavy bags of groceries finally paying off.

It wasn't until they had finally reached the ocean-side resort at Ft. Myers that Waunetta truly appreciated the fact that 5 twenty-four packs of 7 Up and a giant-size box of Cheer detergent had earned Des and her a free beach towel apiece!

Lonnie knew from experience that in just a few short moments, Tracee would start snoring moderately and it would be safe to reach up and remove her bikini top. He just needed to be sure not to drop any cold pool water on her in the process.

Elise and Marjorie had a splendid time in West Palm Beach and were not about to let one "little" incident with the luggage claim conveyor belt destroy the rest of their dream girls' trip!

Lottie had only herself to blame for Harold's sudden assault on the senses, for she had bragged repeatedly at every Sunday night social about her peach preserves and this time he finally tried them, driving him mad with passion and dislodging her partial plate!

Everyone speculated that after so long in the wild, Tarzan and Boy couldn't possibly assimilate into contemporary urban society, but surprisingly enough it only took a month for Tarzan to adopt many of modern man's attributes and Boy was soon to follow...

Until Austria-Hungary's military spending budget was slashed to the bare bones, it was common for lavish parties such as this one to be found on various army and naval bases throughout the country every other weekend...

As a foreign exchange student, Marianne couldn't deny that she felt it a tad odd when Herman wanted to pose this way with her and his wife Aggie, but he insisted that it was the best way for them to get to know one another during her visit.

Cecile and Marvelyn started out the cotillion on a sour note when they couldn't agree on how much Triple Sec should be sprinkled into the sherbet punch. After their disagreement grew stronger, the other ladies were grateful there was no wallpaper in the recreation hall...

Anticipation for high sales at the 7th Annual Lock & Hinge Convention in Acapulco was feverish, but once Shecky, Irv and Clarence sampled some of the local tequila, the only thing high was the three of them!

At first it really bothered Evel Knievel that his plan to jump the fountains at Caesar's Palace clashed with Grandpa Knievel's wedding day to his new wife Shirley, but as it turned out, the marriage was over by the time Evel came out of a coma 28 days later...

Marie Angelique seriously contemplated fulfilling her desire to become a nun and went through preliminary stages, but finally dropped out when she feared that her hair might break the habit...

Carole was thrilled with her new South American sideboard, but what really set it off was the plug-in bud vase with rose, which lent a romantic tinge to the room after sunset.

It wasn't enough that Jeri tended to have to do all the dishes at the Sigma Kappa Delta house and wore protective gloves for her delicate hands, but when the other girls like Val refused to even pitch in to dry, she had to use her skirt to get the job done!

After hearing about how wonderful the holiday was from all his pals, Winnie the Pooh could hardly wait to head out and collect candy on Halloween, but after 2-12 hours of roaming the streets, he only wound up with four tiny pieces of his favorite brand, Bit-O-Honey!

Freshly back from his trip to Mazatlan, Jerry could hardly wait to show everyone the beaded necklaces he got at the street bazaar that were "Buy 10, Get 10 Free!"

It took such a long time for Mavis to get off a shot of Helen Ann and Bertha which didn't cut one of their heads out of the picture that all three of them missed their bus and had to hire an oxcart to get them back to the hacienda!

A couple of days after she hollered at him for rollerskating on her sidewalk, Teddy decided to creep up onto Mrs. Nettlebaum's porch and leave her a nasty surprise. Unfortunately for him, he was the one who got surprised when he backed into one of her prized cacti!

The stress of his first day back to school was multiplied by six when Archie's mother washed his linen dress slacks in hot water and then dried them in their new Kenmore. He tried in vain all day to pass them off as shorts...

It was an arduous journey over rugged and treacherous terrain, but at last anthropologists Howard and Marge Livingston (and their son Bud) located the fabled Mud People of the Amazonian Rainforest.
