6/13/13

Mary Jane hadn't the slightest inkling prior to the attack that Rover was becoming disenchanted with the situation at home, but Pudgy the cat was skeptical all along that one day that dog was going to beat the stuffing out of him... 
Patrice allowed her son and daughter-in-law to gloat and snigger all they wanted to as they went to leave for their dinner dance. She knew that once they'd cleared the driveway, scaling the safety gate in her room would be a cinch and she'd have her own fun. 
Meredith was proud of little Jamie and knew in her heart that with proper training, discipline and the appliance of etiquette, one day Jamie's portrait might take the place of her own above the fireplace. 
Things had slowed down considerably for Kal-El once he'd beaten Lex Luthor for good and moved back to Smallville to retire. Still, he wasn't above using his incredible strength and heat vision to punish Teddy the barber if he felt the man's prices were too high... 
Even during the honeymoon, Rusty wondered if he hadn't make something of a mistake in eloping with Virginia, their age difference threatening at all times to disrupt the passion that had brought them together in the first place. 
And so, with the car packed and her travelling ensemble carefully chosen, Elaine bid final adieu to the sleepy, sleazy little town of Brackwater and headed for the bright lights of Minneapolis-St. Paul. 
Charlie had been goosed by Melvin many a time during the happy hour that followed a long day at the glove factory, but this time was somehow more memorable that the previous instances...
