4/6/15

Calvin and Reggie had their share of fun at Sherman's expense, but little did they realize that they would also, in turn, have to wear the special 5th birthday hat, shirt and shorts ensemble when their big days arrived!
Though she wasn't going to complain just now and ruin all the fun, Gladys Shippleman nonetheless had every intention of finding out who in the world these people were and why they descended onto her couch in her apartment when, in fact, she'd never laid eyes on them before in her life!
Marty could barely even pretend to be disappointed when Miss Crookshank had to bow out of baby-sitting and his parents called upon his Uncle Ted to serve in a pinch, for somehow all the usual activities of Mousetrap, Gnip-Gnop, Jarts and an episode of "The Six Million-Dollar Man" took on a special glow whenever he was there instead!
That first Easter without Piddles, the family pooch, was a tough one, but Clark and Lisa could always leave it to Alex to find a way to work in a tribute...
Everyone waited with bated breath for Cecily to begin her profound organ arrangement of Gershwin's "Rhapsody in Blue," but as she had repeatedly pointed out, she was going to need both a page-turner as well as someone to push her glasses back up every so often if she was going to get through it uninterrupted.
For years, Judd, Toby and Clink (holding Rupert on his lap) avoided TV because there was nothing on it that they could relate to, but finally on September 26th, 1962, "The Beverly Hillbillies" premiered and from then on they had something special to do for one half-hour per week.
