7/11/14

After a long day of buffalo hunting (wings were his favorite part), Chief Iron Eyes Colby liked nothing more than to retire to the pool for a little R & R along with a refreshing glass of sarsaparilla.
Though not credited for it in most history books, it was young Davy Crockett who popularized shorts for men, since trailblazing tended to get particularly hot during the dog days of July and August.
Vera Louise had no choice but to admit that this was certainly one of her daffier blind dates, but in the final analysis it was also one of the most memorable and fun!
After a long winter and spring with her customary fire engine red locks, Ann tried "Sun-In" for a more lively shade to get her through the active and bright summer months.  Her friend Bev was skeptical, but her husband Andy approved and that was all that mattered...
Her record deal was set to expire at midnight, but after a previous rough night Bonnie just wasn't up to dressing and heading into the studio. Instead she laid down some vocal tracks at home and had them delivered to the music editor by special messenger.
And so, once again, The Pompano Beach Pincher struck when given the opportunity. Being face down, Mavis wasn't able to get a good look at him, but unfortunately for him, nearby Rowena hadn't actually been asleep and could give police an accurate description of the culprit. (That was, of course, unless he promised to come by and pinch her, too!)
Bonus Photo:
So long as the dispute over property lines continued, Mrs. Pecker encouraged her son Pete to "water" their neighbor Mr. Dixon's lawn until there was scarcely any remaining remnant of green grass!
