Adeline wanted a picture of herself in the Crocus Choral Society outfit her mother Clara Mae sewed for her, but Clara Mae couldn't resist popping in to receive credit for her work!

It annoyed Jennifer to no end that Ed came plodding into the kitchen wanting to know when the party was going to start when she still hadn't finished not only frosting the cake, but also frosting her hair!

Realizing what a scorcher they had on their hands, Erich rigged up a water slide in the backyard for Timmy and Tina. Sadly, there was so little room back there that the end of it faced Mrs. Prunesickel's sizable rose bush, but the children pressed on nonetheless.

Randall Dean wanted one thing for Christmas and that was a pet monkey. When he got Carmine, he was simply over the moon, but he did have to step up his paper route a bit in order to keep the household stocked with extra bananas...

And so Clarissa sorted through her album collection until she found just the right music to play in the background while the telephone repairman came to check her lines... (If you're wondering, it was "You Can Ring My Bell" by Anita Ward.)

With Rico still on the mend from his bout with malaria, his friends thought he could use a little pick me up, so they arranged a swinging party with all sorts of wild, colorful people to help bring the pink back to his cheeks.

Ida Mae brought her three puppies home from Just Petting and couldn't decide if Ruffio was merely a runt or if she needed to take him back for a refund...

And so thus began the fourth annual board meeting of the Greater Nyack Spirit Committee and Welcome Wagon, in which Agnes, Rowena, Jessie, Beryl and Margaret Ann set forth the guidelines for incorporating new homeowners into the community...

Filbert Wainscoat felt that his mother had fastened his uniform belt too tightly, but after the fiasco during the prior week's marching band competition, she wasn't about to take any chances.

Even though she did recall once hearing her father talk about his old naval pal Captain Salty, Meredith nonetheless refused to take the ride home from school offered to her and instead walked briskly with one eye over her shoulder.

Luci was having some trouble peddling Piel Hermosa, her mother's skincare line, door-to-door, so she decided to punch up her wardrobe in the hopes that it might lead to more attention from potential customers...

Since the divorce, Edd had to do his own grocery shopping for the first time in his life. He found that even if he located something that sounded good, he had no clue what to do with it once he got it home.

Bernadette chose this particular Saturday to reveal her new European two-piece to the world. Husband Roger was all in, but daughter Stephanie remained skeptical...

It may have been because Carole was keeping pace on the Coors with hubby Gerald and his brother Walt, but suddenly she felt a sense of indefinable spirituality with regards to her mate and from this point forward she put her total faith in him and obeyed his every desire...

Since his wife Myrna had been bellyaching for weeks that Cliff never did anything surprising or spontaneous with her, he bought some mail-order undies from Total U and decided to spring them on her after their next Friday night evening of romance.

Everyone was relieved that Brenda's groom was a paramedic since she dislocated her shoulder while throwing the bouquet too vigorously and he was able to get her back in line before they headed off on their honeymoon!

The wedding went off without a hitch, but unfortunately the reception was interrupted not long after this photo was taken when the giant from a nearby town realized that one of her flowers had been plucked from her yard for use by the Maid of Honor!

As part of an ongoing clean-up campaign, the Newport Beach lifeguards were told to pick up any trash they found and put it in the cans provided by the city, so Brett did exactly as he was told!

Never was Shirleen more grateful for the sewing skills of her Aunt Bernadette, for she was sure to win the cha-cha contest down at the Knights of Columbus summer social in this gown.

Having fully exhausted all the matchmaking opportunities in Anatevka, Yente opted to come to America for a while and in the process managed to hook up Uncle Sam with a bride of his own, Virginia!

The ceremony only moments over with, Garrett and Samantha couldn't wait to spill the beans to anyone who'd listen that they were only 5 months away from becoming parents!

Anita thought it was crazy enough when Bert asked her to grab an orange from the spot he'd hidden it, but she really lost it when he told her he wanted the peach that she herself was hiding!

Ivy's family loved to gather around the converted dining room-turned-music hall and listen to her play their new Kimball organ. Unfortunately, the only song she was in any way adept at was "How'd You Like to Spoon with Me," which became wearisome the twentieth time...

Rocky and Cliff liked to use the soft sand of the beach on which to practice some of their Boxing Club moves...
