While it's true that it took a certain adjustment period, in the end Sherry happily came to terms with her brother Clayton morphing into Carolyn, especially since they wore the same size and could share clothes!

This was Angie's first Christmas without Carmine, who was doing a bit of a stretch in the clink for illegal horse race gambling, so she kept decorations to a minimum and also cut way back on her party-going until he was back in her arms...

Estelle was still making payments on her new sofa and refused to let any of the family sit on it yet, lest it become creased or stained, which made for some awkward positioning when it was time to watch Texaco Star Theatre...

Captain O'Hallorhan loved the cake his firemen presented when he received a big promotion within the department, but what really gave him a start was the calendar they posed for and had put together for him!

Cherise loved all the shower gifts she'd received upon her engagement until she got to the one her unmarried older cousin Joyce gave her, which was deliberately two sizes too small in order to draw attention to the bride-to-be's curves...

Valdeen had a nightclub act for years, but grew tired of the late hours, so when she turned 55, she had her love bug painted up with a custom design and began strutting her stuff in the daytime at various country clubs and retirement villages!

Mr. Shiyoki took his class for an excursion that was capped off with a river-side picnic, but unfortunately as he got up from the bench a nail caught his back pocket and tore his pants open, revealing some pink lacy panties where his jockey shorts ought to have been...!

And so all of his life after this, Jonathan wanted to be not a fireman, but the person in charge of throwing the annual fireman's holiday party!

Sven didn't find out until the end of his first day of vacation that he'd somehow managed to mistake coconut oil accelerator for his usual protective lotion, making for a rather startling transformation the following morning.

Amelia Fay proudly won first place in the 46th Annual Bricker County Spelling Bee when her only other opponent spelled "cat" as "k-a-t"...

Just before it was time to leave the pool deck, Glen ordered a Singapore Sling and a pair of wire snippers, the latter to help cut off his swim trunks once he reached the cabana!

...and so once again, just as they were about to snap a commemorative photo for their album, Uncle Hal felt the need to slip away and answer the call of nature rather than pose with his wife Carol and nephew Alan.

Leora was sick to death of the other ladies at the Bi-Weekly Euchre Bruncheon trying to outdo one another with the little bunches of flowers on their hats, so she went through her old formals until she found just the right satin blossom she could cut off and apply to her chapeau!

Ray and Wanda were so happy on the big day that they refused to let Aunt Frances spoil it when she threw a fit at being seated in the back of the reception hall next to a busboy station.

Mona couldn't help but acknowledge that the furnishings from her old palm reading establishment didn't quite fit with the white walls of her new condo, so she sat on the couch wondering which shade of charcoal would work best when she bought some paint.

Faith, Hope and Charity Stillwell were the apples of their father's eye, even after Hope allowed the local college quarterback to impregnate her before they were even engaged...!

Bryan had brought along his own version of a trusty pooper-scooper for their morning walk, but was more than irritated that Chester had chosen to do his business so near to a large mud puddle...

Captain Hook usually took on all comers who wanted to be pirates on his ship, but even he had his standards and so Barry was denied indoctrination on the grounds of unsatisfactory pillaging garb...

Part of the joy in Chris and Terry's relationship was that they wore the same size clothes and could sometimes swap in order to double their wardrobe. They even liked the same shampoo!

Clifton and Annabelle believed in capturing all the pivotal moments of their lives on camera, be it birthdays, graduations or momentous days such as this when they were all set to attend the Greater Dayton Crab Boil & Silent Auction.

In a rare turn of events, Richie asked Santa to put something special under the tree for him this Christmas and, for once, ol' St. Nick delivered.... Early that morning, there was Clayton!

Serena wasn't like other 3rd graders who invited classmates or neighborhood kids over for some play in the sandbox. Visitors were expected to register with her mother at the front door and then be received in the formal living room off to the right of the foyer...

Miss Diddlethatch was actually quite friendly despite throwing one highly imposing shadow across the playground during recess on the Tuesdays and Thursdays on which she was appointed as safety monitor.

Viola brought her daughter Abigail to lunch with her after her hair appointment and everyone in Lander's Cafe just loved her new look, especially Mrs. Van Buren in the booth next door, who commemorated the occasion by placing a carnation atop Abbie's coiffure...
