5/6/15

A rare moment indeed in which The Smileys, Jonah, Marianne and Vanessa, ordinarily a subdued family, were captured by the camera in a fleeting moment of complete elation!
Audition day for "The Lawrence Welk Show" took quite a detour when double-jointed Trixie Hiplocker abandoned the lyrics to her song and inserted a 40-second acrobatic routine. Though it was a close race right up to this moment, Alice Lon narrowly won the coveted spot as the new Champagne Lady.
Seven years of practicing and posing finally paid off for Tracey when she at last became a biker chick. However, until the special order black leather boots in her size came in to Thom McCann, she'd have to temporarily make due with her old cheerleading sneakers...
All the planning that went into Sylvie and Josh's elaborate wedding paid off handsomely, though there was that one frenetic moment during her walk down the aisle when a sizable and swift yellowjacket attempted to pollenate the flowers in her hair!
Having neglected to bring a swimsuit to his family's river camp, Scottie thought he might not be allowed to go swimming or sunbathe in comfort, but fortunately Aunt Polly was able to grab one of the headrests off a spare lounge chair and, with a bit of cord from the patio umbrella, fashion some trunks for him. That he coordinated smartly with all the furniture on hand was just gravy!
And so, despite their clever choreography and dedicated pursuit of Terpsichorean excellence, Fred and Gene only wound up in sixth place at the VFW Talent Spectacular and Barbecue because they'd failed to properly coordinate the design and color schemes of their shoes, pants, belts and hat bands...
